The Great NFL Touchdown Kings

There are a number of statistics used to determine the best players in the NFL, and touchdowns are a significant measurement of a player’s skills. Plus, it's just so darn exciting when a touchdown happens. Here are the all-time touchdown kings.

Clinton Portis

Clinton Portis was an NFL running back for nine seasons. Portis is best known for being the starting running back for the Washington Redskins for seven seasons, in which he gained an average of 81.2 yards rushing per game. 

He had 75 career touchdowns.

Pete Johnson

Pete Johnson played for eight seasons, primarily with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was selected by the Bengals in the second round of the 1977 NFL draft.

He had 76 career touchdowns.

Maurice Jones-Drew

Maurice Jones-Drew played in the NFL for nine seasons. He played his first eight seasons with the Jaguars, through 2013, and in his final season he played for the Oakland Raiders. Jones-Drew led the NFL in rushing yards in 2011.

 He had 81 career touchdowns.

Anquan Boldin

Anquan Boldin played for 14 seasons. He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2003 NFL draft and he also played for the Baltimore Ravens, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Detroit Lions. Boldin is widely considered one of the greatest wide receivers of his era.

He had 82 career touchdowns.

Calvin Johnson

Calvin Johnson played for nine seasons, with the Detroit Lions. Nicknamed "Megatron" after the Transformers character of the same name, he is regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time. 

He had 85 career touchdowns.

Mark Clayton

Mark Clayton was a wide receiver, primarily with the Miami Dolphins. He played with the Dolphins until 1992 and finished his career playing one season with the Green Bay Packers in 1993. 

He had 84 career touchdowns.

Ottis Anderson

Ottis Anderson played for 14 seasons with the St Louis Cardinals and New York Giants. He was traded to the Giants in 1986 and he won two Super Bowl titles in Super Bowl XXI and Super Bowl XXV, being named MVP of the latter. 

He had 86 career touchdowns.

Lance Alworth

Lance Alworth was a wide receiver who played for the San Diego Chargers of the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL), and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. Considered one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, he played for 11 seasons, from 1962 through 1972, and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978. 

He had 87 career touchdowns.

Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown, nicknamed "AB", was a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown is regarded as one of the best receivers of the 2010s. 

He had 94 career touchdowns.

Corey Dillon

Corey Dillon was a running back who played for 10 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots. Dillon retired with over 11,000 rushing yards and is 20th in NFL career rushing yards. 

He had 89 career touchdowns.

Leroy Kelly

Leroy Kelly was a running back for the Cleveland Browns from 1964 to 1973. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994. 

He had 87 career touchdowns.

Isaac Bruce

Isaac Bruce was a wide receiver. He played his first 14 years with the Los Angeles / St Louis Rams and won a Super Bowl ring with the team in Super Bowl XXXIV. In 2020, Bruce was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. 

He had 91 career touchdowns.

Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill is a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his eight seasons in the league, won Super Bowl LIV with the Chiefs, and was named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team as a punt returner. 

He has 96 career touchdowns so far.

Eric Dickerson

Eric Dickerson was a running back who played for 11 seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Raiders, and Atlanta Falcons. Dickerson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999 and, in 2019, was named to the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. 

He had 96 career touchdowns.

Don Hutson

Donald Hutson spent his entire 11-year career with the Green Bay Packers. Hutson led the Packers to four NFL Championship Games, winning three in 1936, 1939, and 1944. 

He had 103 career touchdowns.

Jerome Bettis

Jerome Bettis was a running back who played for 13 seasons, primarily with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is regarded as one of the greatest power runners of all time and ranks eighth in NFL rushing yards. 

He had 103 career touchdowns.

Davante Adams

Davante Adams is a wide receiver for the New York Jets. He was selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. 

He has 105 career touchdowns so far.

Mike Evans

Michael Evans is a wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected by the Buccaneers in the first round with the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft. 

He has 105 career touchdowns so far.

Frank Gore

Franklin Gore was a running back who played for 16 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers during most of his career. He ranks third in NFL career rushing yards and he holds the league record for games played by a running back. 

He had 106 career touchdowns.

Rob Gronkowski

Robert Gronkowski was a tight end who played for 11 seasons. He played nine seasons for the New England Patriots, then played his final two seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gronkowski is a four-time Super Bowl champion (XLIX, LI, LIII, LV), a five-time Pro Bowl selection, a four-time first-team All-Pro selection, and was selected to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

He had 108 career touchdowns.

Tim Brown

Timothy Brown was a wide receiver, spending 16 years with the Los Angeles / Oakland Raiders, during which he established himself as one of the NFL's greatest wide receivers of all time. In 2015, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. 

He had 108 career touchdowns.

Barry Sanders

Barry Sanders was a running back for the Detroit Lions for 11 seasons. Sanders led the league in rushing yards four times and in rushing touchdowns once. 

He had 110 career touchdowns.

Lenny Moore

One of the greats, Leonard Moore was a halfback and flanker who played for the Baltimore Colts from 1956 to 1967. Moore was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975. 

He had 111 career touchdowns.

Shaun Alexander

Shaun Alexander was a running back for the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins. He was selected by Seattle 19th overall in the 2000 NFL draft.

Tony Gonzalez

Anthony Gonzalez was a tight end who played for 17 seasons, with his first 12 seasons spent with the Kansas City Chiefs. Regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time, for his last five seasons he was a member of the Atlanta Falcons. 

He had 115 career touchdowns.

Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry is an American professional football running back for the Baltimore Ravens.. He is known for his larger build than the average running back, but it certainly works for him.

He has 116 career touchdowns so far.

Antonio Gates was a tight end for the San Diego / Los Angeles Chargers during his entire career in the National Football League. He was named to the Pro Bowl eight times and was a six-time All-Pro selection. 

He had 116 career touchdowns.

Jim Brown

James Brown was a fullback for the Cleveland Browns from 1957 to 1965. Considered one of the greatest running backs of all time, as well as one of the greatest players in NFL history, Brown was a Pro Bowl invitee every season he was in the league.

He had 127 career touchdowns.

Walter Payton

Walter Payton was a running back who played for 13 seasons with the Chicago Bears. Nicknamed "Sweetness", he is widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time. 

He had 128 career touchdowns.

Marvin Harrison

Martin Harrison was a defensive end who played ten seasons in the National Football League for the San Francisco 49ers, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Seattle Seahawks.

Cris Carter was a wide receiver who played for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Miami Dolphins. He is regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time.

Larry Fitzgerald

Larry Fitzgerald was a wide receiver who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Fitzgerald was selected by the Cardinals with the third overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft. He is considered to be one of the greatest receivers in NFL history.

Marcus Allen was a running back who played for 16 seasons, primarily with the Los Angeles Raiders. Allen is considered one of the greatest goal-line and short-yard runners in NFL history.

Terrell Owens was a wide receiver who played 15 seasons in the NFL. Regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, Owens ranks third in NFL history in career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns

Randy Moss

Emmitt Smith

Emmitt Smith III was a running back who played for 15 seasons, 13 as a member of the Dallas Cowboys and 2 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Among other accolades, he is the league's all-time leading rusher. 

He had 175 career touchdowns.

LaDainian Tomlinson

LaDainian Tomlinson was a football running back who played for 11 seasons with the San Diego Chargers and New York Jets. He spent nine years with the Chargers, earning five Pro Bowl appearances, three Associated Press first-team All-Pro nominations, and two NFL rushing titles. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

He had 176 career touchdowns.
