I caught my boyfriend of two years. He had asked me to proofread his paper on his Mac and the text messenger popped up in the right hand. After he left I got a call from his best friend telling me that he’ll be in town for the weekend and he wanted to meet up, not weird he called me because my husband was terrible at answering his phone.
I told him unfortunately my husband was visiting back home, bad timing. His best friend then said okay, I’m going to call you back, and hung up very abruptly. Turns out my husband and his wife had been caught by him a few months previously and he gave them a chance to make it right. I don’t know why. He didn’t tell me but threatened to if they didn’t stop.
Well, they didn’t stop and he told me. I think the worst part was that my husband’s family knew and never once thought to tell me. These people were my family for five years and nothing. It’s been almost 10 years now and I’m so much happier but it was definitely an eye-opening experience.

I can't make it out, but I figure it's nothing too serious.
I'm like, "Oh Ryan, what are you giving a hard time to my girlfriend about," So I click the message, if only to relay what I presumed was a joke to her. Well, let me tell you, the joke was on me. Those two had been going to Bonetown, USA, while I was deployed. They talked about me being gone as a bonecation.
My girlfriend asks if I found anything good. I'm like, "Oh heck yeah." Now, I show her the texts. She denies anything happened. Which is, well dumb—so me being a man of dignity, kick her out of the apartment and send her on her way to Georgia. Wearing adult diapers, I kicked her out of my place. Honestly, I just wish I had found out after I had eaten some Cordon Bleu.

I came home early from work and walked in on it. Yep, that's about as cliché as it gets, but there you go. Funny thing is, I had wanted an open relationship, but he said that he couldn't deal with that. Turns out he was just selfish.
20. There’s a Reason Doctors Don’t Take House Calls
Not me, but a medical resident who I met on rotation recently. One of the nicest guys I ever met; super intelligent and hardworking, and training to be a trauma surgeon but as humble as they come. He had been married for two years to his wife. One night he gets off a 30-hour call early and heads home to surprise his wife with some flowers and her favorite dessert (it was the anniversary of the day they first met). Only to find her in bed with a random dude.
He was so exhausted and confused, he didn’t know what to do, and just left and went back to the hospital. I saw him at 5 am, sitting in the parking lot, hunched over crying. He didn’t even have his phone with him, he was just sitting there. Man, nothing breaks your heart more than seeing a grown man cry, it’s not something you see often.
We called his dad up and he came and picked him up, the guy ended up taking a leave from his residency. Turns out, it wasn’t the wife’s first time sleeping around. Hope he gets back on his feet, he will make an amazing physician.
21. Undone by the Panty Raid
I went to her 18th birthday party. I wandered around mingling with all her friends, and then I realized I hadn't seen her anywhere in like 45 minutes. I thought nothing of it at first, but then I went downstairs to use the basement bathroom. It was locked. I knocked, and I heard a very breathy female voice say, "Occupied! Go Away!" Since I really had to go, I decided to wait.
GF came stumbling out of the bathroom with some guy about ten minutes later, looking all flustered and stinking of really cheap weed. Apparently, the guy bought himself a bathroom quickie with a few hits of a crummy toke. She made some excuse about how they were "just talking" and he was an old friend. I shrugged, actually wanting to believe her.
But when I went in to finally take a leak, the stupid girl had forgotten her panties on the bathroom floor. I handed them to her in front of all her friends upstairs and walked out. "Here. You forgot these in the bathroom downstairs." It was one of those classic zinger moments when you really burned someone, but at the time, I just felt sick and brokenhearted.
22. Sometimes It’s Not Even a Secret!
I'm a live in nanny and the parents are going through a particularly nasty divorce (mostly because she's totally insane). Either way, she decided one day that she didn't give a darn anymore, and started bringing this dude she's been sleeping with over to the house, sometimes even while the Dad is home.
She says "they are just friends," but I've caught them making out on several occasions. Which she portrays, of course, as that "he kissed her," "she didn't want it" blablablabla. Really Amanda? Then why did I watch you go sit down on his lap and stick your tongue down his throat? She's also encouraged the kids (while the Dad isn't home) to call this new guy "daddy."
Thankfully the Dad has finally realized just how crazy she is and is getting a divorce, but as this is all pretty recent, we haven't found a new place yet. Thank God he's going for full custody, and that the kids are still really young (and that I'm going with him and the kids). It terrifies me what those kids are going to have to deal with in their lives because she is their mom.
She is an incredibly selfish, narcissistic, piece of trash excuse for a human being, and I hope all this karma comes back to bite her on the behind really hard some day.
23. Here Comes the Bride and Bombshell
My husband's mistress told me at the wedding of a mutual friend, so that was nice. I held my cool until we left, as I wasn't giving either of them the satisfaction of seeing me look like the crazy person or ruining someone's big day.
24. Hunting for Problems
Brother of mine caught his wife cheating. Her phone would always be going off and she would hide it. He got curious, looked into it, and found some guy had been texting her for a few months. She said she was going to stay home because she had to catch up on homework over the weekend. My brother and I went on our hunting trip and he told me about it.
We never left the city, we went to my house and stayed there till it got dark, then drove back to his neighborhood in my neighbor’s car. She sent him a picture of her at home saying she was going to go to bed early that night. Well, we snuck close to the house after a car parked down the street and a guy walked to the house and let himself in.
My brother was fuming at this point and wanted to beat the heck out of the guy. I settled him down and told him to think about the long run. We snuck up to the house and using the night vision camera got video of them bumping uglies in the living room. My brother wanted to confront this guy at this point so... I did something messed up and called 9-1-1. I said I heard a lot of yelling from the house and asked if they could go check. It kept my brother from messing with the dude (a coworker of hers).
Authorities show up, take statements. We leave and the next day he pulls her iMessages off the email account and talks to a lawyer. We give the lawyer the messages and when we show up five days later from our "hunting trip," he calls her and says he got something wild and wants her to come out and see it.
When she comes out he gives her divorce papers and kicks her out of the house. She had the authorities do a civil stand by while she got her stuff a few days later. House was his before they got married so all she got to keep was some stuff they bought together and her car. No kids and the prenup nullified the alimony she could have gotten as he made way more money than her.
The guy she was sleeping with had a record. We saw her a few months later, she tried talking to my wife and said she missed my brother and she was sorry, the guy and her broke up shortly after the divorce.
25. Pregnant Disaster
I was pregnant with my oldest daughter and had extreme pain one day, so I came home early from work. When I get home I see two purses that I knew weren't mine sitting on the stand. I head to my room to see if my then boyfriend could explain the purses; I'm hearing noises coming from our room. I opened the door to peek in and he is having a threesome. I close the door and just go back into the living room. I was shocked.
I was supposed to be on bedrest, but I was the only one who had a job, so I was going to school and working while he got to stay home all day. I was livid, but what was scary is that I was so furious that I remained calm. I went into the living room, sat on the couch and waited for them to come out; when they finally did I asked them if they had fun? I told them they needed to get out of my apartment.
He tried to talk to me, but I told him he needed to get out. I calmly packed off of his stuff up, had a friend come over because I couldn't do heavy lifting being 7 months pregnant and dropped his stuff off at his parents' house that night. It's still shocking to me that I remained so calm being that angry.
26. Life Lesson: Power Trips Always Lead to Writing on Whiteboards
I stopped by his house to surprise him. His bedroom window was open and she was very loud. I tried the front door and it wasn't locked so I let his dogs in the house (because it would make him furious) and sat on the couch for a few minutes thinking about how much power I had. How I could burst in and do anything. I just wrote goodbye on his whiteboard and left.
27. Wrong Place, Wrong Time
I was at a party with a group of friends. I was standing behind my best friend talking in a group when my friend all of the sudden gets a text. I look at his phone and it's my girlfriend's full name and her asking when he is going to be over. She was supposed to be out of town at her mom's house.
28. Stake Out for an Unfaithful Nurse
Had a suspicion that the wife was seeing someone else. She had been acting "off" for about a week. We would be sitting on the couch and she would get text messages claiming to be from a female friend, yet she would always set the phone face down.
A few nights later she tells me that she is going to go cover a shift for a nurse co-worker who just had a miscarriage and that she would be working late. That night I woke up out of a dead sleep with my heart racing, with just a feeling that something was wrong. I snuck over to her side of the bed, took her phone and went out into the living room to go through her text messages.
Sure enough, she had detailed plans to meet up with some guy at a hotel to sleep together. I took photos of the texts with my phone as future evidence. I went back to bed, returned her phone and just laid there contemplating my next steps. I finally just laid awake for about four hours until it was time for me to get up for work. I knew they were planning on meeting in the afternoon at the hotel, so when I arrived at work I told my boss that I needed a half day and possibly a few days off afterward.
About an hour before their planned meetup time, I drove to my brother-in-law’s house. I let him know what was going on and asked to borrow his truck so that I could witness their arrival with my own eyes. He made me promise not to confront them. I showed up at the hotel parking lot and about 30 minutes later, they both arrive in his truck. She was dressed in her work outfit. After they went in, I snuck around to his truck and deflated all his tires (not slashed because that's a bigger deal).
She had carefully planned to cover her tracks. She took our two kids to the babysitter dressed in her scrubs to appear like she is going to work. Then drove her car to the parking garage to have him pick her up there, knowing I might drive by her work to see if her car was there. I left the hotel, went back home, piled every picture we had ever taken together along with photos of our kids on the kitchen table. I packed a bag for myself and the girls and drove down to my hometown to stay with some friends.
On the way there, I called the hotel and asked to be connected to the room under her name. She answered and I don't remember exactly what I said, but something to the effect of "I know where you are and I know what you're doing..." She wasn't really phased until she heard our girls in the backseat laughing and signing. Then she broke down and begged me to come back. I told her we needed a few days away and that they deserve a better mother than her and hung up. She called me constantly and I just sent it straight to voicemail for the next few days.

We got married when I was 17 years old and he was 21. We were so young! He was shipping off to sea with the Navy, and I was escaping a bad home life. When he came back after his deployment, he wasn't the same person anymore. After about six months, he gained weight on purpose to fail his physicals so he'd get kicked out of the Navy.
Fast forward a year, I'm working full time, and he is sitting at home, watching TV and drinking during the day, and telling me that he "was applying to jobs." I was applying to universities when my laptop stopped working. I asked to use his laptop to finish an application, and while I was typing away a message popped up through his Facebook account. When I saw what it contained, my blood ran cold.
It was a provocative picture of my husband’s ex, from her. I was shocked and opened it to find that they'd been dating for a long time. They started communicating again while he was at sea in the Navy. He would talk to her and never to me, saying that he never got the time to email. I confronted him, and he made a bunch of pitiful excuses.
I had my friends come to the house that day and kick him out while I went to work. He then stalked me for the next few years, and made posts about how I was a coward, he sent emails and called from blocked numbers to tell me that "a restraining order is just a piece of paper" or that “our vows before God made me his property.”
I ended up talking to our friends, spreading conflicting information about where I was going, and moved out of state. I deleted all my personal social media accounts and lived in fear for years, watching him continually make memes about how he loved his wife and would do anything for her. It took eight years for me to finally get the divorce from him.

I had let her borrow my car while I took the bus to work, my friend called me at work to say that my girl was making out with some guy in my car. So I got a taxi over there and yup, there she was. I knocked on the window guy jumped out. I was going to start beating him up, but I told him to just leave, this might not be your fault.

I read how that day’s texts started and they started really early in the morning. "Hope you're doing ok up there." "We'll see, doubt it. He's trying too hard. He should just know it really doesn't matter. Wish I was up here with you instead." Just the worst stuff. And that was before I even woke up. I was pretty devastated and really didn't know what to do.
I knew I didn't want to fight because I realized she wasn't worth fighting for. Grabbed my bag and drove back to San Diego. I took her phone with me, so I could text him and tell him "We're coming home early, let's meet." I ended up inviting him to a coffee shop and waited for him to show up. Second worst day of my life but I'm glad it happened. Met my lady three years later and we've been together for four years, now engaged.

I went to grab the phone. She has never had a problem with me answering calls like that before, she even found it entertaining. Anyways she freaking attacked me, started screaming at me, and ripped the phone from my hand.
We didn’t speak for the rest of the ride, needless to say, it was obvious what was going on. Shame. Turns out it was my only friend at the time. Lost two people I thought I could trust that day.
45. Indecent Proposal
Ex-wife actually asked me for her blessing to commit adultery with another married man. She was shocked when I said I don't support it. She went ballistic (she had severe mental health issues), went and did it anyway, and ended up in a psych ward. Two marriages ended and now the two cheaters are engaged. I was a little devastated at first, but it was a blessing in disguise.
46. Stick to the Sore Place
My husband of a few months was complaining of a painful lump on his ball sack. Me being a nurse, I of course rattled off all the things it could (really and not really) be just to freak him out. It was just an ingrown hair, but it seems that’s a pretty painful spot for you dudes, so he was being a pansy about letting me treat the area.
So, I started joking around about STDs and how his balls were going to fall off. He got really quiet and didn’t think that was very funny. We had not slept together in several months, I was 7 months pregnant with naturally conceived twins and relations were incredibly painful and unadvised by our specialist. Well, I suggested he take a warm compress on the area and see if that helped the discomfort.
While he’s in the bathroom, he gets a bunch of texts from a girl that say: “No, we have been tested in the last few months, no STDs. Can't be from me.” I got the whole body shut down, room closing in on me, tunnel vision, enough strength to get into bed and just lay there. My husband of four months (we'd been together for several years and had a 2-year-old son too) was screwing another woman.
He could definitely tell something was wrong when he saw me. The only thing I could say was, "Who's so-and-so and why are you talking to her about STDs," and that’s when it all fell apart. I had no one to confide in for support, my family was providing us with so much, a house, money, everything to take care of these twins, and this man was just hot-to-trot so he went and got some.
I couldn’t and still haven’t told my parents. I told my best friend and confided in my brother (because he cheated on his wife and I wanted the man's perspective). Some might not agree with it, but we are still together today. We have learned communication is so important, even if it’s a note or text or something. We need to know each other’s needs and be honest about how we feel.
The dynamic of our marriage will never be what I wanted it to be. I didn't wear a ring for a long time. I don't trust him still when it comes to relationships with female friends. And I still have not taken his name after 3 years. As of right now, we need to be married to provide for our children. We are happy, our children our happy.
We don't fight and we have fun, love, and affection. But it’s always there and it always will be. When our 3 sons decide to marry, he will tell them what he did and how much it jeopardized what is supposed to be a union between two people. Because our marriage is a marriage of two people who work together to raise a family, but we are a happy, healthy, and loving family.

My coworker's mom apparently realized her husband was cheating after she saw his Harley at a bar (apparently, he loved the bike more than her and it was very custom and recognizable). Later, she rammed her car into it and filed for divorce. He was also abusive and got her addicted to several things. The implication was that it was completely justified, and the cheating was just the last straw.
48. Alter Ego
Out of the blue while at work I get a weird email. When I open the email it lists off a name and says my husband was married to her. I checked on Facebook and what do I see? Tons of pictures of a woman with my husband. The woman and her kids with my husband. The woman and her family with my husband. I was stunned, to say the least.
It was October 6th 2017, seven months after I almost lost my life from an ectopic pregnancy. Yep, we were trying at that point to have kids. That's when I just...snapped. After work, I went home and started throwing all of his stuff in the dumpster. He was out of town at the time so I had plenty of time to do it. I spent all of Saturday and Sunday throwing everything he owned in the dumpster.
A month later I moved to a new apartment and waited until then to tell him I was divorcing him.
49. Feeling Blue
We were engaged, and it was about four months to the wedding. It was her birthday, and a Friday. We had both wanted to see Blue Man Group for a while, so I had ordered tickets for us. Being a Friday, I took off half a day to surprise her. When I arrived home, there was an unknown car in the drive, and the garage was open, which was extremely unusual. It also happened to bypass the security camera we had facing the front door.
I go in through the garage to hear the unmistakable sounds of love-making in our bedroom. I ended our relationship then and there, which her family claimed "broke" her. The last time I looked her up a couple of years ago, she had had two kids with two different guys, and had spent time in prison (it was a small town, so no surprises there).
Her family still made me out to be the bad guy in the relationship when I ended it because I didn't forgive her. Worst of all, I never did get to see Blue Man Group in person.

52. The Sidepiece Is Calling From Inside the House…
I found out he was cheating shortly after I found out I was pregnant. So, honestly, he probably could have gotten away with it even longer. At the time, I was going through all sorts of weird emotions, so I pushed off the weird vibes I was getting as "things are weird right now, you're reading too much into it."
When I think back on it, I'm not sure what exactly tipped me off. Days before it was confirmed, I realized he was suddenly taking phone calls from someone who, when he spoke to them, was apparently so important that he was talking low and chuckling all flirty, and he made sure to be on the phone only when I wasn't in the room.
Then she called while we were in the middle of a serious "What are we gonna do about this baby?" kind of talk, and seeing her name/picture pop up on his phone set off an alarm in my gut. But I couldn't place the feeling. Finally, I just straight up asked if he was screwing around with the girl. He denied it, turned it on me, end of convo.
Few days later, he left his phone in the bathroom, and that nagging feeling was still there. So, I bit the bullet and checked his phone. There were hundreds of texts to/from her, lots of explicit stuff and "I love you"s. But there's a twist: It turned out I was the other woman, and he had a 3-year long distance thing going on with this other girl. I was devastated.
53. Plot Twist
It happened to a friend of mine. We were all on vacation (about seven friends) and everybody was drinking. We were the only two who didn’t. He managed to snag his girlfriend's phone while she was passed out and pulled me to the side. He said, "she's cheating on me, some guy named Joey has been texting her and meeting her after work to sleep together every day." We ended up searching for names and mutual friends via Facebook. Turned out Joey was a girl.
54. Rest Stop Rendezvous
I couldn't find my wife after she got off work one afternoon. I tried to call her cell phone with no answer. She didn't show up to the house until 9:30 p.m. She weaved a tale about getting stuck in traffic. I did some sleuthing and used a driving app that tracks your movements. I found out she had been leaving work early, going to the nearby rest area off of the expressway, and sleeping with a 20-something trucker she met at her previous job.
I decided to interrupt the festivities one afternoon. I showed up to the rest area, parked in front of his rig, and jumped right up to the door. The cabin shade was drawn. I withdrew the shades and saw my loving ex-wife going to town on this guy with a pipe in her hand. He had the gall to tell me to give them privacy.
Seeing my wife with some dude in a semi on the side of the road was horrific. I didn't handle it very well. I called the authorities, they were both taken in for possession, and I promptly filed for divorce. The icing on the cake is that a few months after I left, she cheated on her new trucker friend and is well on her way to her seventh "friend." Godspeed, you wet, musty nightmare.
55. Signed With Disregard
He told me to clean his car out and I did, but there were letters from the other woman in his car. He wasn't bright. Of course, I wasn't either. It took a few years to finally get rid of him and keep it that way.
56. Band Camp Blues
When I was 14/15 years old and at band camp, my best friend (let's call her Emma) and I were dating two boys who were best friends. Typical, right? So, one day Emma and I get out of rehearsal and we go to meet up with our boyfriends, who are nowhere to be found. So we look harder, we're wandering around campus, and we hear low voices behind a ledge.
Lo and behold, our precious boyfriends were there...MAKING OUT WITH EACH OTHER. Emma immediately started crying, which caused the boys to pull apart with a suctiony schluuurp. I suppose I wasn't as in love with Boyfriend as I thought, because my reaction was to laugh hysterically. I had never seen two boys make out before. It wasn't bad.

58. A Web of Lies
The husband of one of the women he was cheating on me with called me at work. At first, I didn't believe him and hung up. How could the man I spent the past eight years with, and had two beautiful babies with (suffered together the loss of one of those children), do something so hurtful? Still, a part of me needed to know. He had affairs in other relationships and we had a rocky patch early in the beginning where I suspected an affair but didn't have proof.
I told my boss I felt sick and that I had to leave early and I called this guy back and found out that my ex and this guy's wife along with one of their friends were all sleeping together for about a year. He had confronted my ex and told him that he was going to tell me but my ex convinced him to wait, since my mother was very ill.
I took my time coming home and confronted him and told him to pack and leave. Since then, I've pieced together a lot of what happened and realized all the lies he told me. If I was in a different headspace I might have caught on to the affairs earlier. I also found videos hidden on one of our computers and found out he was having booty calls in our apartment while I was at work and he was watching our daughter. At that point, it put the headstone on any possibility of reconciliation.
59. Mission Less-Than-Plausible
My ex was in the Navy, and we dated for approximately 3 years, 1 of which we lived together. He had been deployed once during the first couple years of our relationship, so we mostly had a long-distance relationship until the last year we were together, when I moved in with him. After 3 months living together, he tells me he is being deployed again.
I'm disappointed but that's his duty, so I tell him I'll stay in the apartment and he can send me his 1/2 of rent, etc. because he didn't want to move all of his stuff out and lose the place. He said he was supposed to be gone for 8 months (February through October) and will be home by the end of October.
Anyway, time passed, we called, Skyped, and I sent care packages until the beginning of September, when he tells me he won’t be able to contact me until he is heading home. He says it's for some secret mission or something (I was 19 and very naive!). I don't hear from him again until Halloween night, telling me he will be home in 2 days.
I plan a party for him, inviting his mom & sister (his mom was born & raised in Haiti, and she speaks NO English.) Anyway, fast forward to party, I'm happy to see him and everyone's having a good time. My ex and his mom are speaking to each other in their native language (French Creole), and I can't understand what they're saying.
His sister says to him (in English) that he needs to go to his mom's house to help her clean out her gutters and change her air filter. He says back, "Oh it's okay, I did all that in September when I got home." I think he forgot he was speaking English. I am stunned and honestly, I just left. I wouldn't talk to him for two days.
When I finally picked up the phone, he confessed that he had been living with his mom the past 2 months so he could "see other people" without hurting my feelings. I moved out and never talked to him again.
60. Is the Excuse Any Better Than the Truth?
I found a condom that had clearly been used. He ended up blaming it on his mother, who didn't live there. Happy to call that jerk an ex.

I was suspicious of my husband cheating, as he went to "play soccer with friends" way too often. He always came home already showered as he would sweat playing. One day I sewed his soccer socks together, and when he came back all showered I saw the socks were still sewed together, so I knew he wasn't playing soccer at all.

She told me in gratuitous detail the name, body type and acts she performed with like ten different dudes—ranging from making out to intercourse with "only" two dudes. I was young, in love, and heartbroken so I said yes because I was desperate to hang on to her. Then she broke up with me when I hooked up with someone else after like four months of "open" status and her having like a primary friend-with-benefits because I "liked her too much."
64. Wouldn’t Wait
I was 17 and he was my first boyfriend. I wasn't going to sleep with him and told him as much, so he was sleeping with a girl who I knew from church youth group in his car before he would come hang out with me. She wanted him all to herself, so she showed me the messages—I was dumb and didn't believe her because this wasn't the first time she had stirred up drama like this. Sure enough, his car was outside the church in the back corner of the parking lot and he was waiting for her.
Although, TBH, I was mostly just dating him because I hadn't been kissed yet and was tired of waiting for someone I could see myself falling in love with. I was angrier over the humiliation of being cheated on more than because I loved him.
65. Shocking Shoreleave
I had come home from a five-month stint with the Navy. My girlfriend at the time was a court stenographer. So when she wasn't at the pier I figured she had a case or was catching up on transcripts. So I got a ride from my friend to see an unfamiliar BMW in my driveway. I walk in to see her with some stranger on my couch.
Keep in mind this was my house, not hers. I didn't say a word to her. I just started grabbing her stuff and throwing it in the front yard.
66. Tales of the Underwear
My husband went to Hawaii for a business trip without me or the kids. Like a good wife, I packed his clothes before he left and unpacked his dirty laundry when he returned home. I found a tiny pair of white cotton panties (no lace) in his suitcase. He had recently dropped a lot of weight (more than 100 lbs.) and played it off that he had bought them for himself. They had no label and were simple bikinis so theoretically could have been men's as well.
It did sort of explain the pretty brunette that followed him off the plane at the airport and kept looking at my kids and I at the luggage carousel (what a jerk to make his side piece come face to face with his wife and kids). But at least I got an ingenious revenge. I made sure he wore those panties at least once a week for the remaining few months we were together. I set out his clothes every day and he couldn't protest.

I was seven months pregnant. One night, my husband's phone was going off in the middle of the night. My husband went to the bathroom, so I looked at his phone to see what was going on. I was mortified. It was a text from a girl talking about how excited she was to be a step-mom. Can you believe it? A step-mom, to MY child!

Found my wife's notebook. Written on the first page was a 10-step plan detailing how she was going to leave me for another guy. I turned it into one step.
70. Boomerang Boyfriend
He was my first. There was this Q&A thing on Facebook going around (this is relevant later on). He posted two answers that were a bit off. I hadn't noticed until my friend pointed it out. I let it slide. Maybe a few weeks later, he tells me that he had slept with his ex during winter break (she was living in his house for a reason I don't remember anymore), she was pregnant, and that he needed time to focus on himself.
About a month later, he messages me. He tells me they lost the baby, and he's sorry. Some time passes and we run into each other at a party, we'd both drank a lot, stuff happened. I end up seeing him more after, and we hang out at his place...then I found out he was in a relationship with the girl who the Q&A answers were about since before we originally ended.
He followed this up by asking me to still be his side chick. I noped out of there. They've been together for a couple of years now and are engaged. I always wanted to tell the girl, but felt guilty at the same time, figured she'd see what a jerk he was eventually. He texts me every once in a while to talk, but I never answer.

Fighting would get you kicked out of college, so I told the much smaller guy that as soon I saw him off campus someday, I'd kill him.
Fifteen years and worlds later, I'm at an engagement party at a bar, and some friends come up and tell me the guy over there is extremely scared of me and thinks I'm going to kill him. I look over and couldn't stop laughing. It was so far in the past, but for some reason that guy remembered it like I had sworn an oath to avenge my family. It felt good. His fear was redemption enough.

She left her diary lying around. Which is to say, in her unguarded bookshelf. I was hanging at her place while she was in class and I read a few of the most recent entries. Fully knowing I was opening a Pandora's Box of secrets better left closed as we had been growing more distant lately.
Big surprise, she wrote about falling for the other guy and how she didn't know how to leave me. She then mentioned how sleeping with me was much better and how he was sort of a dead fish. Which initially made me feel a bit better until I read that she had gone out shopping for Valentine’s day gifts and had apparently gone all out on him but hit the clearance racks for me. Gifts aren't important to me, but that deep forethought it took to make that sort of decision really irked me.
So...I waited for her to get home, and we had the MOST intense angry relations I've ever had in my life. I knew it was going to be the last time I'd ever get to enjoy her body, so I just went to town. The tough bit is that she was certainly enjoying it more than me without the weight of impending heartache on her mind.
It got so intense someone knocked on the door to make sure everything was alright, to which she breathlessly replied, "Ooooh yeah!" which is still a source of pride for me, honestly. However, I'll never forget that feeling after, staring up at the ceiling and listening to her breathing heavy still and just knowing.
76. You’ve Got Male
I had a really close group of friends who would always prank each other. One of my mates found out the Facebook password of another, so while on a group Skype, which included myself, we logged into his Facebook account (being 7 people) to make a stupid status. At the same time, my partner of 5 years was messaging him on Facebook about how good he was in bed last night and about meeting up again.
77. A Rash Decision
I was in a long-term relationship for three years. I took him to the hospital because he had weird rashes on him. To make a long story short, he was diagnosed with syphilis. I was tested and I was relieved to find out I didn’t have it. I really have no idea how I dodged that bullet. I got treated, anyway. I was so stupid in my early 20s.

When my husband and his mistress got caught, they tried to invoke an evolution argument and convince me that "humans aren't meant to be monogamous." I'm like, "If you don't believe in monogamy, why did you even marry in the first place? You could have joined a free love hippie commune at any time if you wanted to. But that's not what you did."
79. Appointment With Destiny
I was in a very unhealthy relationship. He was emotionally belittling and I was in a terrible place with my mental health. I found out he was cheating on me at the ultrasound to determine the gender of our child. He was late for the appointment and I was noodling on Facebook waiting to be called. He was tagged in some photos in my news feed from a gig he’d been at on the previous weekend.
In all his photos there was a random lass and they were all over each other. Also, they were making out in the background of one photo. He turned up after I was called in. While the technician was printing the images I told him I knew. He went off and on about how I was making it up, he’d never do that, obviously, I was lying to compensate for cheating on him and so on.
When I pointed out there were photos he stormed out and left me there. My Dad had turned up during the appointment and took me home. I considered us broken up at that point and stopped all contact except texts related to the pregnancy. Mostly I was relieved. I had concrete evidence that it wasn’t in my head and I finally managed to escape that relationship.
80. Well That Escalated Quickly...
I caught my ex when we were both standing in the examining room, getting his "UTI treatment." Doc came in and said gonorrhea. He lied for a whole 2-3 months I imagine. Even lied about how he got it, tried convincing me he accidentally swiped his genitals in some mystery fluids in a gas station toilet (what in the world...).
When he realized I wasn't that stupid, he tried to drink random bottles on the doctor's shelf. He started hitting himself. He fell on his knees sobbing and tried grabbing my hands and begging for me not to leave. He threatened murder-suicide that entire night, and attacked me for close to nine hours when I was trying to pack my bags to leave. He choked me in the driveway.
I just spoke at his sentencing this Thursday. He is a convicted felon now. I hope he's grown from this.
81. Swipe Left On This Dude
Friend sent me a screenshot of my then BF from Tinder. I check his phone and he didn't have the app. So I downloaded Tinder onto his phone to find out he had an active account and was actively engaged in messaging and meeting up with girls and he had just been deleting the app from his phone when he was hanging out with me.
82. Dial 1 for Heartbreak
He was in the basement of the house we had JUST BOUGHT TOGETHER having talking dirty on the with her, not realizing that the sound would travel through the vents. It sucked at the time but in hindsight, he did me a huge favor.
83. Sleepover
He has a longtime friend of his (who happened to be female) who was staying the night. She was sleeping in the basement bedroom and we were upstairs. Well, he slipped out of bed in the middle of the night and woke me up. When he noticed, he told me he had to go to the bathroom. I guess I already had my suspicions, because I lay there and listened to him walk down the hall, then past the bathroom, and down the stairs.
So, I followed. And caught him in the basement getting ready to sleep with her. Oh. I was not a happy puppy. Was stupid and tried to salvage our engagement, but I wasn't "fun anymore" and he left.
84. Setting an Example for the Baby
When I got home from work, she would be going to work and I would be hanging out with our baby. Around the time he was one and a half, she started going to the bar with co-workers. I was fine with it because it wasn't often, maybe one night a week, and she came back home by 12. It quickly got up to coming home between 2:30 am and 4 am, plastered, four to six times a week.
She started mentioning this one co-worker a lot and how cool he was. My paranoia got the better of me and I checked her phone one night when she was passed out and she had been trying to get said co-worker to meet with her at an abandoned gas station a few miles up the road while she was on her way out.
I approached her and asked what she planned to do when he showed up, "just hang out and chat!" to which I replied, "While you’re loaded, at 2 am, behind an abandoned gas station..." She never admitted to it, but that, a lot of not-even-subtle clues and people I knew seeing her out at the bar gave me all I needed to know.

My GF was getting ready for work one day and I noticed she was wearing makeup which she hadn't done in a very long time. I sarcastically asked her, "Is Neal working tonight with you?" to which she said, “No, I just wanted to look nice today.” I dropped her off at work and who was there? Neal, that dirty rat. Like in other stories, sometimes it's the abrupt change in a subtle thing about a person that sets off the warning bells.
86. Delete from Contacts
Ex-girlfriend. Woke up one morning and it was plastered all over her Snapchat story of her making out with her ex at some Christmas party. This was the day after a very intense romantic evening with her...Was a tough day to get through for sure. She decided to completely drop contact with me after with no answers as to what happened, but thank goodness I'm out of that train wreck now though... One month on and I'm doing much better.
87. Well This One Is a Little Weird...
I've never been able to explain it, but I saw my ex cheating on me in a dream. I saw everything. I told her about it and she freaked out. To be fair, I described the dude's bedspread, fish-tank, and his room. I have never been there.
88. Tripped Up
I was gone for a week for work. Got back to my building after a flight home and had no ride. She forgot to come pick me up. I finally got a hold of her, came to pick me up half in the bag, went back to our house, I was unpacking and turned around and she had her hair and makeup done and just said "I'm going out, see ya" and left. This was after I had been gone for a week.
The next day was Friday, she had got home after I went to bed and left for work before me. I got home, and she was already gone, and had texted me and said she was going to her friend's house to hang out for a house party for the weekend. I didn't hear from her again for two days despite calling and texting her. She got home late Sunday night and told me she "lost her phone in the couch.”
I told her this wasn't working, and she needed to leave. She packed a bag while I cracked a cold one on the couch. A couple days later, my friend emailed me a boatload of pictures from the weekend she disappeared, all of her and the guy she was cheating on me with. He had posted them on his Myspace that Sunday evening.
She actually continued to mess up things for me for quite a while after this, financially mostly, but eventually, I got free of that disaster and moved on happily.

He was basically living with me because we just had a baby, and he hadn’t been home for a couple of days. His best friend informed my best friend that he had no idea we were even together because he has been with this other girl for the past couple of nights on his friend’s couch.

I came home from working a double shift and found the toilet seat up. Either my wife didn't pee for 20 hours straight or there had been another man in my house. I noticed on Facebook that my husband "liked" a photo of a girl that seemed to be someone he had recently added as a friend. So I checked her profile and she was one of those girls who think “they won” because men cheat on their partners to be with them. She had everything public, photos with him, and bragging about the texts they exchanged.
So I engineered a way to befriend her roommate. I would then find out she was bringing other dudes home besides my boyfriend and when I confronted him I also let him know about who else she was sleeping with and for him to get an STD test.
93. A Shocking Email
My ex-wife and I moved across the country for her job. I’m a teacher, so I can get work just about anywhere. She decides to get her degree to become a Certified Public Accountant, and apparently there's like eight separate tests. She had a study group Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. Except every Sunday wasn’t a study night at all!
Sundays, I would soon find out, were when she and her boss would frolic at his house while his wife went to her parents'. Some study night. I only found out because she made a typo on her keyboard and accidentally sent me an email with her details of joy of how he pounded her in the hammock the night before. That came as a shock.
94. Freaky Friday
June 1, 2018. Normal day. A Friday. My husband had kissed me goodbye and gone to work. I was cleaning the house for friends who were coming to stay the weekend. The doorbell rang. There was a man at my door who introduced himself as the husband of a woman who my husband worked with. He was there to tell me that my husband and his wife were having an affair.
He had busted them about six months prior and had told his wife that she had to end the affair. He thinks that she did end it, but only for about three months, and then they started up again. When he found out they were at it again, he called my husband and told him to leave his wife alone or else he would come and tell me everything that was happening. Apparently, my husband thought that he was bluffing. He had no idea what was coming.
I was literally the last to know. My husband never came home again. He got a rental unit and a lawyer. The divorce was December 21, 2018. We had been together for 24 years. Still hurts.
95. Check up, and Check Out
I went for my yearly check-up and tested positive for chlamydia. Turns out my ex was sleeping around.
96. Moral of the Story
Caught my ex-fiancee on New Year’s. I posted pictures of us, exclaiming how I was excited to spend another year with her. Sadly enough, her other boyfriend saw the post I tagged her in. He was awfully upset as well. I still sympathize with him because I know how it feels.
Don't cheat on your partner. It tears people up inside.
97. Spy Games
My wife was acting unusual for a few weeks. She would want to spend time by herself on the weekends and when she came home at night from work she would often sit in the driveway for 20 minutes on the phone. I'm not dumb. I bought a voice-activated digital recorder and stuck it in her car. I knew what I needed to know in less than 24 hours.
98. Cheaters Never Prosper
I knew my ex wife was cheating but didn’t tell her that I knew. Took her out for a dinner date and I casually asked questions about who she had been spending time with while I was at sea, she barely worked so she had to spend her time doing something. She failed to mention the guy that had been staying at my house for nearly two months, the guy she had to call the cops on just to get to leave because I was coming home in two days...soooo I slid her a copy of the report that was filed for the incident and watched as she crumbled over the fact she had been caught, and I didn’t have to say a word.

99. Caught Red-Handed
My boyfriend let me use his iPad so I could watch a Netflix movie. He had his messenger account linked to it, and messages kept popping up on it while I was watching. That’s when I made a disturbing discovery. I watched in real time as he got his best friend's wife to agree to sleep with him over the coming holiday weekend, with the promise that he'd get rid of me for that weekend so they could get intimate in our bed.

100. Check the Texts
Ex girlfriend told me she was going to a "girls only" pool party with some of her fellow waitresses from the restaurant she worked at. I had felt something weird going on for a bit and had put a lot of effort into making that night a surprise "date night." I worked that morning, while she worked in the evening.
While she was at work I cleaned the whole apartment (that we shared), cooked a fancy surf and turf dinner with filet mignon, lobster tails, butter pasta, expensive vino, etc. Also rented a few movies I knew she would like. So when after dinner she suddenly told me she was going to this pool party at around 10 pm (!!!) and I couldn't come I was pretty exasperated and knew something was not right.
Noticed she was putting her phone face down every time she received a text about this party. While she is putting on her sexiest bikini to wear under her clothes on her way over to this party I decide to look at the phone and it's some dude from her work (under the name Angela in her phone), telling her he can't wait to see her, can't stop thinking about the other night, etc. Scroll down a bit and they even said they loved each other. There's not really a worse feeling in the world when you are in love with someone and they do that to you.
She comes back into the room and queue one of the worst nights I've ever had as she blames all of this on me not proposing to her quickly enough (we were 22, relatively poor, and in college and I did want very much to marry her). She trashes the apartment, breaks the screen off of my laptop, cuts up a few of my favorite shirts, and breaks MY phone after going through it looking for some sort of justification for her actions and finding none by throwing it at the wall and stomping on it. But hey...it was satisfying knowing that I wasn't going crazy and I learned some valuable life lessons.
